Christchurch earthquake 4th September 2010

 

1. There was no loss of life because the earthquake was 

                                                                                    shallow and happened early when people were asleep                                                                                      in bed.

2. 6,659 people were injured.

                                                                                    3. Liquefaction - A mixture of mud, sand and water 

                                                                                        that came up from the ground like mini volcanoes.

4. 115 people died when the CTV building 

collapsed.

Jacinda Ardern Is My Herooo :D

Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern is a New Zealand politician who has been serving as the 40th prime minister of New Zealand and leader of the Labour Party since 2017. First elected to the House of Representatives as a list MP in 2008, she has been the member of Parliament for Mount Albert since March 2017.

She has Been my hero past these years, doing good stuff for people and helping others out.

She became the world's youngest female head of government at age 37. Ardern later became the world's second elected head of government to give birth while in office (after Benazir Bhutto) when her daughter was born on 21 June 2018.

In 2019 Jacinda Ardern was called upon to lead and comfort her country after an attack on a mosque in central christchurch and another on a mosque in suburban Linwood on March 15 resulted in the loss of at least 50 lives and injuries to about 50 other individuals.

 What do i think i know about this disaster?

- it happened in a mine

- the mine was called Piker River

- People died maybe from an explosion
